The Priory Cottages have recently been converted with many traditional features. Spacious yet cosy with board games and wood burning stoves, the cottages are perfect for those seeking respite and relaxation.

The Priory Cottages' eco-friendly design and management
The Cottages have been converted to high environmental standards. Instead of radiators, underfloor heating provides even, efficient heating throughout the cottage. Heat is generated from a ground loop and a heat pump using sustainable geo-thermal energy. The cottages are well-insulated with double-glazed windows and full loft insulation. We have fitted low-energy light bulbs where practical to minimise energy usage and we also provide recycling facilites.

Ecological land management
The cottages are situated at the foot of a well established apple orchard and ancient meadows. We manage this, a plum orchard and an ancient meadow under the Government's Countryside Stewardship scheme which aims to enhance and conserve English landscapes and their wildlife.
